I joined the Curves gym around a month ago now, not long after the birth of my little man Nathan. But, It’s certainly a gym with a difference! To find out about how Curves is different to your average gym go to Curves.
I was little dubious at first after finding out that you are ONLY allowed to workout for 30 minutes tops. However, the results are in & it’s good news. I’m officially losing body fat & I’ve lost X amount of inches from my Bust, Waist & Abdomen, wooohooo!! Steve muttered “oh no” to the Bust results which I kind of agree on…I like my Bust, in actual fact I like my Curves, my whole reason for joining the gym wasn’t to get skinny It’s to tone up, & get healthy! Not become a starving waif! I always find people who starve them selves lack personality & zest for life – I guess they find it hard to string a sentence together when all they can think of is FOOD!!!!
It’s strange really because my sole reasons for going to gyms in the past were always because I wanted to be thinner (and it made me f***in miserable)…So It’s actually really nice that I can admit to myself that I’m doing this because I want to be a healthier me. I’m doing it because it makes me feel awesome! I love the adrenaline rush I get after a workout.

Great article! Maybe the reason that they only let you work out for 30 min max is to stay on track. Its a good way not to burn yourself out.
