I’m a massive foodie so I just know I’m gonna get carried away…..
1. Can you cook?
I’m not too shabby a chef, if I do say so myself.
2. Do you like to cook?
I do but, It’s a little harder to faff around in the kitchen now that little Nathan is here (he’s 3 months old now). I’m so busy with looking after him & my 5 year old Alfie…Then there’s clothes washing, making sure Alfie Schools things are ready yada yada, Ooo & don’t forget Guitar Hero!
3. What do you eat for breakfast?
*coughs in shame* Coffee. I know It’s not brekkie but I just don’t have time. It takes Alfie & myself half an hour to walk to his school so, I’ll normally grab something when I get home. I’m not a cereal fan. I prefer savoury stuff scrambled egg on toast – I just dont have time to do it before the school run.
4. When, where and how do you eat on weekdays?
During the day when It’s just me a Nate, I’ll grab something small when I get home from the School run about 9.20am, maybe a roll (or more coffee) then I’ll have a sandwich for lunch. Im a sandwich-holic!!!! Love em’ Brown bread is my ultimate Fave! With a bit of chicken, low fat mayo & Dijon mustard! (anything quick)
5. When, where and how do you eat on weekends?
Dreadfully unfortunetly, because we’re always on the go! There’s just too many fun things to be doing when Steve’s home! (more sandwiches & coffee)
6. How often do you eat in a restaurant?
Very rarely…When we do, I quite like a trip to the Toby. It’s a carvery with Chicken & Beef & it’s all you can eat Veg & Potatoes! It’s yummy! Roast dinners are my ultimate comfort food. Reminds me of when I was younger. My mum used to make awesome Roast Dinners!! Still does.
7. How often do you order delivery/take-out?
Not that much I’m pleased to say. But, when we do it’s normally a Maccie Dee’s (Mac Donalds) or Domino’s Pizza.
8. Buffet, take-out or sit-down restaurant?
At Buffet’s my eyes are ALWAYS bigger than my belly, I waste loads. I quite like getting spruced up for a sit down dinner! “Oh waiter”
9. What are your signature dishes?
I make a mean Fry-Up!!
10. Have you ever cooked for more than six people?
Yep! After I had my first son Alfie I cooked a chistmas dinner for about 8!!!! No rest for the wicked.
11. Do you cook every day?
Yep (takeouts are rare)
12. Have you ever tried recipes from blogs?
Nope, I’m yet to cross that bridge.
13. Do you cook totally differently compared to your mother/parents?
My tastes are completely different to my Mums, bar a few things. I’d say we both cook frantically, that’s for sure! Pots a flying!
14. Are you a vegetarian or could you imagine being one?
I was during my younger years in secondary school. I decided to start eating meat again to fight the flab. I was a tubby teenager! Must have been all those Chip Rolls!!
15. What would you like to cook which you haven’t dared to make yet?
Seafood Risotto! I adore Seafood, It’s something I couldn’t live without.
16. Do you prefer cooking or baking?
I prefer to cook. Baking is Boring *yawns*
17. Home-made or store-bought?
Home made without a doubt. Although I do have micro meals in the freezer for emergencies! I hate being caught short.
18. What was your biggest cooking disaster?
I’ve never had a major cooking disaster. Although, I cooked a stew once (that I’d cooked many time before) and got a bit excited with the cornflour!!! You could have sliced it with a knife! “slice of stew anyone?”
19. What is your number one comfort food?
Roast Dinners.
20. If you were on a deserted island, what one food would you want to have with you?
I’d say fish but, considering it’s an Island I guess that would already be there so, I’d say Coffee. I know It’s not food but, if I’m gonna be stranded on a Island I’m sorry, but I need my Caffine fix!!!
21. What is your biggest weakness when it comes to food?
BREAD!!!!!!!!!!! Omg, I eat tons of the bloody stuff! I just can’t stop.
22. What food can you absolutely not eat?
Roll Mops *gags* totally gross me out.
23. What is the most decadent dish you’ve had?
Don’t do fancy. It’s so over rated! Give me a Burger off the barbie anyday!!! (don’t forget the pear cider)
24. What is your favourite type of food?
White Fish, Sushi & Cockles with lots of Vinegar & Pepper!!!
25. What is your favourite dish?
Anything with Fish in it. I like scooping Crayfish Tails up in little gem lettuce! Lots of fresh Lemon! I like food I don’t have to use a knife & fork with.
26. If you could go to any restaurant you wanted, which one would it be?
I still haven’t tried Yo Sushi… I really want to try it but, I’ve no one to go with
no-ones else likes sushi.
27. Are you a soup or salad person?
Salad’s are awesome, one of my faves! They’re so versatile. I like crayfish Salads & warm chicken & bacon salads.
28. What is the most impressive dinner you’ve ever made?
I don’t make impressive food. Just tasty homely food!
29. Do you know what vichyssoise is?
Nope, not even gonna google it.
30. Can you name at least three TV cooking personalities?
God yes! I know loads. My favourites are the ones who cook easy, no fuss food. Jamie Oliver & Nigella are great! I’ve taken a MASSIVE liking to the guys of the Food Show ‘Boys weekend’ – Manu, Adrian, Gary & Migual. I like Fiesty Gordon Ramsey too
31. Who is your favourite TV cook?
Aussie Adrian from – Boys Weekend! Give me ‘mans food’ anyday!
So there you have it. I’m a fish loving, no fuss, steak on the barbie type of gal who loves to cook but just a little short of time right now. After completing this I’ve made a vow to myself to Make more time!!! Food has always been a major factor in my life.
It was my enemy when I was younger when I thought I was fat, now I realise it’s something which, can not only prolong our lives & make us feel good if eaten properly but, can always bring people together!






You’ve given me a craving for scrambled eggs on toast now – and the canteen’s finished serving brekkie.
I’d also love to try yo sushi! but the husband absolutely refuses to eat the stuff.
